Beverly Taylor Sorenson Music Program
The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program provides arts-integrated instruction to elementary students, effectively increasing student performance in every subject. BTS Arts puts specialists trained in visual art, dance, music and theatre in elementary schools to develop lesson plans that incorporate art. The Utah State Board of Education administers the program statewide, and collaborates with administrators and university staff from Brigham Young University, Dixie State University, Southern Utah University, University of Utah, Utah State University, Weber State University, and Westminster College.
Zion Adventure Club
Zion Adventure Club is an after school program which provides an engaging environment for students to learn and develop skills related to outdoor recreation. Students are also taken out into the field to apply these skills. In addition to the physical challenges. This year the students will have the opportunity to learn and practice bicycle safety and maintenance, rock climbing and canyoneering, and outdoor stewardship. We are grateful to the town of Springdale and local business Zion Adventure Company for helping to make this possible.
